About Me

Endpoint management, cloud identity, and everything in between — documented as it happens.

Hey, I’m Dayden — an IT professional based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I built Admin Basics as a living documentation project — real notes from someone working in Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and Defender every day. No textbook theory, just what actually happens in live environments when you’re managing endpoints, troubleshooting identity issues, and pushing policies that may or may not behave the way the documentation says they should.

The content here is a mix — sometimes it’s a step-by-step walkthrough, sometimes it’s just me working through a concept as I learn it or put it into practice. Either way it’s written from the perspective of someone doing the work, not summarizing it from a textbook. Topics cover hybrid Active Directory, Conditional Access, Intune device management, Attack Surface Reduction, PowerShell automation, and whatever else comes up when you’re keeping systems running across real organizations.

I specialize in endpoint management and cloud identity, and I’m actively building toward consulting and contract work in the M365 and Intune space. If you’re an organization that needs someone who can hit the ground running on endpoint administration, feel free to reach out.
